Join me live on YouTube for a relaxed, creative hour where you can sketch along in real time.

Each session is designed to help you build a regular sketching habit without pressure, just simple, enjoyable practice.

I’ll guide you through the process step by step, with a reference image on screen, while chatting through techniques, materials, and answering your questions as we go.

To take part live and ask questions, make sure you’re subscribed to the YouTube channel.

Can’t make it live? No problem – every session is available to watch back whenever it suits you.

I like to keep things fresh and playful, working with a variety of mediums (announced before each session). Previous sketch-alongs have included everything from a mixed media bunny, to a croissant painted with coffee using a coffee stirrer (yes, really!), to a beautifully simple charcoal onion.

Come along, experiment and enjoy the process, no matter your level.

May 25th – How to Draw a Charcoal Kitten

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to approach a reference photo step by step, so drawing animals feels manageable and enjoyable.

• How to break a photo down into clear, drawable shapes instead of copying details.

• How to use shading and selective marks to suggest soft fur without overworking the drawing.
